World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade of an item allows players to increase the gear score of an item up to 700 and add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.
Certain items can be upp'd for their unique stats (like perfect made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) and others, like weapons, don't change much post upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats such as crit chance, attack damage PvE and damage from PvP. They also have a flat bonus that increases their damage per second. Additionally some weapons come with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a unit. This bonus can sometimes be greater than the damage that a weapon upgrade can do on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and current level. For example, an +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a gun will increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgrades to weapons will also reroll the stats of the base. While this is usually an excellent thing but it can also have negative effects as well. For items that are only used in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them could render them useless unless you happen to have an extremely fortunate roll.
Armor items can also be upgraded to increase their performance. For example, if you upgrade chests or helms, it will boost the defense of its base, while gloves and belts will improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor also has the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it could change its roll to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain when upgraded in addition to their respective values. This means that a change from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in the weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will be hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.
A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button with circular arrows within the menu for items. This will roll an item and alter its stats but not reset the weapon's level or tie it to the account status.
Armor
A few armor upgrades can make all the difference to your survival. Certain sets can offer massive improvements in the resistance to curses, poisons fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to navigate difficult terrains. The more defense your character has, the more value you get from every point of health therefore it is important to upgrade your armor as often as you can.
item upgrade can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game, and to unlock them all, you have to complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've done the main side quest and completed the corresponding fountain you'll be able to contact any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of materials and Rupees required to complete each will vary. You'll need anywhere from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. The Champion Leathers, as an example, can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which will allow you to remain competitive in frigid environments with a large group of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded to +20 defense, which means you're able to withstand a rout with friends.
You can't upgrade your armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor for physical strength or the power of spells. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still wear at the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you'll wear in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can unlock perks for your armor. In general, you should save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be beneficial to have a few improvements to the chest armor and helmets that allow you to stealth around certain monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, give the player with a temporary effect. There are five types of potions that have different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, increasing their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.
Upgrades to your potion require a specific amount of XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. However, the upgrade price will vary based on the type of potion you want to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.
To upgrade a potion simply right-click on it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI that lets you select the potions that you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll give you when upgraded. The upgrade of potions can be completed in batches of up to five at a single time, and the XP that they generate will be added to your current XP level.
Once a potion has been upgraded, it won't degrade until you use it again, or break the bottle it is stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
There were some changes to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for instance, now have a duration zero, not the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display for the item. The table of potion now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can now be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. The same is true for using a potion within the cauldron that is filled. This will drain the potion, and refill the bottle.
Finally, there are lingering potions that are brewed with splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can be added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The table of potions is arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as the potion of leaping, the decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket could be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to a small ornament or object that serves a purpose, but isn't essential, like a trinket. In some cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, particularly between family members.
Players can upgrade trinkets in addition to weapons or armor, as well as potions. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets unlike other items that can be upgraded, can be traded at will without losing stats.
The upgrade vendors can be found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, and in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with tokens, gold, or fragments from rare trinkets.
Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to purchasing a new trinket. One can upgrade a trinket for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl as older one, and have an additional upgrade bonus of 1.

Once the old Trinkets have become no longer usable, they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value with time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.
Players should upgrade their most important items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, then their secondary items and finally, other pieces of gear that will not be replaced soon (for instance rings or cloaks). When deciding the items to upgrade, players should take into account their class's preferred statistics. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to tank players and they want to upgrade their chest, helm, and shoulders.
Once they have become useless trinkets are able to be upgraded to a greater level. item upgrades comes with an additional 1percent bonus. However, a re-upgrade can destroy the old trinket in the event that it is not salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still cheaper than purchasing an entirely new trinket.
